It’s time for a spring reawakening.

The spring issue of Tracy Anderson Magazine is finally out, and it’s unlike any other. We’re incredibly excited to turn the page and start a new chapter, in honor of this issue’s theme of Reinvention.

In Tracy’s Letter from the Editor, she unpacks what it means to reinvent yourself, from the big leaps to the daily baby steps. Throughout The Reinvention Issue, Tracy’s writings explore the ups and downs of her personal path toward rejuvenation—whether it be her approach to strength training or her experience with divorce. In all areas of her life, she reveals how full-body wellness is about being open to new beginnings.

“I love the concept of reinvention, precisely because it’s not about forgetting the past or destroying what came before,” writes Tracy. “On the contrary, reinvention is about working with what you have—finding creative ways to reform, renew, and reshape the things in your life that don’t serve you anymore.”

The aim for this season’s issue is to serve as a guide to reinvent yourself, your life, and the world around you. It’s a collection of inspiring features that you can return to in times of strife, moments of lassitude, or when you just need a little creativity to freshen up your lifestyle. Keep it on your coffee table, and discover something new every time you revisit this revitalizing issue.

Lessons from The Reinvention Issue

Fitness

In the article “Strength in Silence,” Tracy deep-dives into her Method, specifically the research behind the non-verbal instructions that make the studio and online experiences so unique.

“The studies I’ve performed have proven non-verbal commands to be more neurologically effective when it comes to muscle-building and metabolic stimulation,” writes the fitness pioneer. “As my research continues, I’ve seen our natural world become digitally hijacked. Now more than ever, I care about the protection of people’s primal right to move in their bodies.”

Recipes

This issue features creative twists on classic dishes in 46 new original recipes. Redefine dinner go-tos with more color, nutrients, and exciting flavors. Chef Alexander Browne and Director of Higher Nutrition Sandra Rojo reawaken the palate with their vibrant cuisine, featuring plant-forward recipes for every meal—and yes, even desserts! From Watermelon Gazpacho and Miso Pickles to Chocolate Chip Banana Oat Cookies, you can enjoy these crowd pleasers knowing every bite is a step towards better health.

“For me, it’s all about rethinking my old habits, reframing my approach to food out of the same ruts, and reinventing dishes with new ingredients and twists,” shares Tracy. “My Method encourages you to find new ways to inhabit your body, and nourishing yourself with fresh recipes plays a crucial role in this process.”

Total Body Wellness

Tracy Anderson Magazine is all about uniting the mind, body, and soul. When we approach wellness in this integrated way, it becomes clear that everything is connected. We were thrilled to talk to all-around champion Venus Williams about the way she leads a life of success, wellness, and purpose. In her interview, she inspires us to keep reinventing ourselves over and over:

“I like to think that my best moments are ahead of me. The work is never finished. Growing up training, I was constantly pushing to improve and it instilled in me a deep motivation that has since carried over into other aspects of my life, such as wellness and business. I am always aiming higher, in both my personal and professional life, and try to encourage others to do the same.”

The Reinvention Issue celebrates all facets of reinvention, including the growing pains that come with change. In her article “Becoming Catt,” Emmy-winning journalist Catt Sadler writes about what it means to face mistakes and struggles head on, and what it takes to keep moving forward.

“One of the most satisfying elements of aging is starting to make peace with past versions of myself. The longer we live, the more we step and misstep, and ultimately morph into new iterations of ourselves,” writes Sadler, who also hosts the podcast It Sure Is A Beautiful Day. “We start to see clearly how necessary it is to examine old ideas, shed old beliefs, and eliminate old thinking that doesn’t serve us anymore.”

Sustainability

Reflecting upon reinvention, renewal, and restoration, it’s only natural to think about the state of our planet. We loved talking to Miranda Kerr about her approach to wellness and environmentalism in her interview, “Going Green.” She explains how her certified organic skincare brand KORA Organics is one part of her life-long passion for sustainability: “The organic farming techniques used to harvest our ingredients provide a safer, more sustainable environment for everyone. Organic farming eliminates the use of synthetic pesticides and nitrogen pollution which benefits water, wildlife, and people.”

Longevity

Tracy Anderson Magazine taps into important medical research and expert insight, and offers key takeaways to our health-minded readers. For this issue, we focused on health restoration, and the diverse ways we can reset our bodies for the future.

We were delighted to feature Dr. Michael Greger. In his article, “How Long Will You Live?,” he explores the impact of diet on life expectancy.

“Oxidant stress is thought to be why we all get wrinkles, why we lose some of our memory, and why our organ systems break down as we get older. Basically, we’re rusting. Eating antioxidant-rich foods may slow down the oxidant process,” writes the renowned doctor. “On average, plant foods may contain 64 times more antioxidants than animal foods. Including a variety of fruits, vegetables, herbs, and spices in each meal continuously floods the body with antioxidants to help ward off strokes and other age-related diseases.”

Fashion

The clothes we wear are an expression of who we are, and a reflection of the life we build around us. Global fashion authority and naughties icon Rachel Zoe knows this well. In her feature “Next-Level Curation,” she shares her practical tips to reset your wardrobe for spring reinvention, inside and out:

“My best advice is to have a go-to uniform in the most visible area of your closet—your favorite jeans and black trousers, favorite T-shirt, blouse, and blazer—so you can mix and match when you are in a hurry, which is always the best approach to daily dressing.”

Mindfulness

A healthy body requires a healthy mind. In his piece, “Awakening Consciousness,” Soren Gordhamer of Wisdom Ventures tackles mindfulness in the modern world. Reinvention is a holistic process—one that requires mental, physical, and spiritual harmony.

“One thing we learn in meditation is that life is continually changing,” shares Gordhamer. “No thought stays long, and neither does a feeling. Who we were yesterday may not be who we are today. Sense everything is changing with the thought that what happens in the future is determined by our state of consciousness right now.”

In Dr. Habib Sadeghi’s feature, “Obstacle Illusions,” he weaves personal stories with insightful reflections on growing into your power, and how to start taking risks. This piece captures the essence of this spring issue: reinvention starts from the inside out.

“Don’t look at the enormous ship floating above the water—you’ll be overwhelmed thinking about how you’re going to move it,” writes Dr. Sadeghi. “Look beneath the surface, and be clear about what your small change is and, most importantly, remain consistent with it.”
