TAmily Tales is a series dedicated to the voices, experiences, and personal journeys within our global TA community. From Latvia, longtime member Alexandra has built a lasting practice with Tracy Anderson through the Online Studio, proving that wherever you are in the world, meaningful movement and genuine connection are never out of reach.
MEET ALEXANDRA
You’ve been practicing Tracy Anderson since 2013. How did you first discover Tracy, and what made you want to try her approach to movement?
3 months pregnant and my best friend said, “I know what we’re doing throughout this pregnancy—the Tracy Anderson Pregnancy DVD.” So I started that very day… and naturally, I’ve been doing it ever since.
Living in Latvia, what role has the Online Studio played in allowing you to maintain a consistent Tracy Anderson practice?
Living in Latvia, the Online Studio has made it much easier for me to maintain a consistent Tracy Anderson practice. It gives me the flexibility to work out from home and fit sessions into my schedule, without needing to be near a physical studio. Having regular access to the workouts and being able to practice whenever it’s convenient helps me stay committed and consistent.
What keeps you coming back to the Online Studio after all these years? How has your practice continued to evolve alongside you?
What keeps me coming back to the Online Studio after all these years is how it continues to challenge and inspire me. It’s become more than a workout—it’s a consistent part of my routine that I genuinely look forward to.
As my body, schedule, and priorities have evolved, so has my practice. I’ve learned to listen to my body, value consistency, and embrace the journey rather than perfection. The Online Studio gives me the flexibility to keep growing while staying connected to what I love about the Tracy Anderson Method.
Tracy introduces new choreography every week in the Online Studio. What does this constant opportunity to learn something new bring to your practice?
The constant opportunity to learn keeps my practice fresh and exciting. Each week challenges me to stay present, focused, and curious. There’s always something new to discover, which keeps me motivated, engaged, and growing with Tracy.
How has practicing Tracy Anderson changed the way you understand your body and what it is capable of?
Practicing Tracy Anderson has completely changed how I understand my body and its capabilities. I’ve learned to move with greater awareness, be patient with the process, and value strength, coordination, and control—not just physical results. Most importantly, it has taught me to trust, challenge, and feel more connected to my body.
You’ve spoken about the friendships and encouragement you’ve found through the TAmily. What has it meant to feel part of this global community while practicing from Latvia?
Being part of the TAmily has made my practice feel so much bigger than working out on my own in Latvia. It’s incredibly meaningful to connect with people around the world who share the same passion and dedication to Tracy Anderson’s work. The friendships, encouragement, and sense of belonging remind me that distance doesn’t have to mean disconnection—we’re all part of the same inspiring community.
For someone who has never experienced Tracy Anderson because they don’t live near a studio, what would you want them to know about experiencing the practice through the Online Studio?
Living far from a physical studio doesn’t mean missing out on the Tracy Anderson experience. The Online Studio brings the practice into your own space with the structure, variety, and inspiration needed for evolution. From Latvia, I’ve learned you can feel deeply connected to the Tracy Anderson journey and the TAmily anywhere in the world. It’s a flexible way to make the practice a meaningful part of your life.
After more than a decade with Tracy Anderson, what does this practice mean to you today?
After more than a decade, Tracy Anderson means so much more to me than exercise. It’s become a constant in my life—a way to connect with my body, challenge myself, and continue growing. What I value most is that it evolves with me, teaching me consistency, patience, and the importance of showing up for myself.
